A mission to live- Itunu Akande

In our mindless pursuit of faith

And what seems to hold true

Can we abound on a higher ground

With our past

Masked with veil in tatters

Our hearts convict us

But who is the great judge

Will our mission

Be to quit the essence of life

And resist the purest of touch

The healing touch

To make war

Where once there was none

I see a horizon

One beyond the paraphernalia of legalism

It’s like an epiphany

A spark that consumes me

Seasons swinging swiftly swiftly

I shall fan it-

This burning bush

For I have seen so many mismatches in life

And I’m sick of people

Pushing principles at me
